Smoked Fish Dip

We’ve been spending some time in our home away from home in Florida, and something the hubs enjoys more than anything is fishing. As a result, we get absolutely spoiled with the bounty of fresh-caught fish!

So much fish.

We also have a neighbor who has a smoker set-up, so once in a while, we give him a few filets with the skins still on and a few hours later, we’ve got a good amount of smoked fish.

This is so crazy-easy to make, stays good forEVER, and tastes SO GOOD!

And looky how pretty!!

Smoked fish dip

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flaked, smoked fish
  • 1 1/2 cups dairy-free mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Vegenaise

Instructions:

Mix fish and cheese shreds together.
Add Vegenaise.
Enjoy with favorite crackers or tortilla chips.

Told ya…easy peasy. We’ve made this with yellowtail snapper and mackerel and both were delicious. You could make it with virtually any smoked fish, as long as it flakes nicely. Salmon would be tasty as well, although the texture could be a bit different.

We eat this with Late July Grain free tortilla chips. It would also be great on Simple Mills crackers, or even your favorite clean brand of toasted bread. Or use veggie sticks for dippers. You could throw it on a salad as your protein.

Easy, versatile, delish and a great little recipe to have in your arsenal of recipes!

Whip up a batch and let me know what you think.
